The Consortium, originally formed in 2015, comprises members from 14 Southeast states and Puerto Rico. It embodies an energetic group of public and private sector advocates. The primary goal is to exchange ideas and experiences relating to the screening and prevention of colorectal cancer (CRC) in the Southeast region of the United States. This year’s conference creates an opportunity to network and develop partnerships with a broad range of passionate people who share the commitment to reduce the burden of CRC across the region and the United States.

The conference attracts more than 150 attendees who work to develop creative ways to synergize regional expertise to increase CRC screening and diminish the toll of the disease. Numerous CRC issues and session topics include: ensuring up-to-date knowledge among primary care providers; geographic, racial, and ethnic disparities; insurance coverage; patient navigation; state and federal policies; garnering funding; and learning the latest evidence-based practices and clinical updates.
