Melissa Ann Burns-Babb, known as Missie Babb, is a seasoned accounting professional with over 30 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience. Born and raised in the suburbs of Nashville, TN, she earned an Associate of Science degree in Accounting from Nashville State Tech. Her early career was dedicated to two homebuilding companies, where she started as the sole office/accounting staff and progressed to senior management roles, overseeing all aspects of office operations and managing teams of up to 10 employees.

After 23 years in the homebuilding industry, Missie transitioned to a bookkeeping role with a conveyor installation company before joining the Rural Health Association of Tennessee (RHA) in February 2024. At RHA, she has applied her extensive accounting expertise, particularly in QuickBooks, to support the organization’s mission. She finds this role especially rewarding, as it aligns with her passion for helping the public and contributing to meaningful work.

Missie currently resides on Watts Bar Lake in East Tennessee with her family.
