Emily KeetonEmily Keeton comes to Rural Health Association of Tennessee as the West Tennessee Resource Liaison. In this role, she strives to help community-based organizations understand how to incorporate the closed-loop referral system, Tennessee Community Compass, into their workflows. She has an extensive background in public education. She received her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2014 and her Master of Science in Agriculture and Extension Education from Mississippi State University in 2017. During her college years, she served as a TN State FFA Officer and as a member of the National FFA Officer Nominating Committee. In graduate school, she was the first Mississippi “Teach Ag” Campaign Coordinator. Currently, she teaches Agriculture Leadership classes at the University of Tennessee Martin – Parsons Center. At UT Martin Parsons, Emily has led several educational field trips to the TN Department of Agriculture. Additionally, Emily spent six years as a classroom teacher before making a career change to the non-profit world. During her tenure as a teacher, she taught middle school English and led workout dance classes for students after school. Emily continues to be involved in her community by serving as the Riverside High School FFA Alumni President. She is also involved in local volunteer work and with her church. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Alabama School of Gospel Music.

With a robust background in education, leadership, and community service, Emily brings a wealth of experience and a collaborative spirit that aligns perfectly with the mission of the Rural Health Association of Tennessee. Her dedication to fostering growth and development in all her roles emphasizes her commitment to making a positive impact in her role as Rural Health Association’s West Tennessee Resource Liaison.
