A Step Ahead Chattanooga

Rural Health Association of TN's members A Step Ahead Chattanooga has a commitment to removing barriers to contraception through education, outreach, and access to free birth control.

A Step Ahead Chattanooga serves 18 counties across Southeast Tennessee, Northwest Georgia, and Northeast Alabama (Bledsoe, Bradley, Franklin, Grundy, Hamilton, Marion, Meigs, McMinn, Polk, Rhea, Sequatchie, Catoosa, Dade, Murray, Walker, Whitfield, DeKalb, and Jackson counties).

Due to a lack of ability to meet in person, ASAC developed a webinar series in 2021, called “Tough Talks”. In this series, ASAC collaborates with other organizations to provide an opportunity for parents and/or guardians to get information about a variety of “tough” topics. ASAC believe this series strengthens their social services network as well as their parent/child network and tackles issues and obstacles that both youth and the adults in their lives face.
